
Bell Logo Tutorial by Samuel Ayobami
In this tutorial Samuel Ayobami of Bami Design will show you how he created this minimal bell logo. He goes through the step-by-step process in Adobe Illustrator to help you achieve the final result, I hope this exercise helps you improve your logo design. STEP 1
Use the Pen tool (P) to draw a line as shown below.
STEP 2
Use the Reflect tool (O) to reflect the line to the other side.
STEP 3
Use the Direct selection tool (A) to click on all the edges. Then select each of the blue circular widgets and drag to round off corners.
STEP 4
Use the Ellipse tool (L) to draw an oval shape.
STEP 5
Switch to Outline mode (Ctrl/Cmd + Y or simply go to View > Outline) to make it easier to see when lining all the shapes.
STEP 6
Use the Scissors tool (C) to cut away the useless parts.
STEP 7
Use the Ellipse tool (L) to make a perfect circle in the oval.
STEP 8
Use the Scissors tool (C) to cut the perfect circle into two equal parts.
STEP 9
Move the upper part of the cut circle to the upper part of the bell.
STEP 10
Copy (Ctrl/Cmd + C) and Paste in front (Ctrl/Cmd + F) the upper part of the bell and move to left a little bit.
STEP 11
Use the Scissors tool (C) to cut away the useless parts.
STEP 12
Goto Object > Expand. The press okay to convert the stroke shape to filled shape.
STEP 13
Goto Window > Pathfinder and choose unite to unite all the parts of the bell.
STEP 14
Use the Direct selection tool (A) to round off the sharp edge at the upper part of the bell so our shape can look like a bell more.
STEP 15
Use the Rotate tool (R) and move your cursor to the circled anchor below. Then, press the Alt/Opt key and Click to bring up the Rotate dialogue box. Then input 32 degrees and click OK.
STEP 16
Final result.

Hi, nice, but i’m not okay with step 9 to be correct you should duplicate / expand bell’s oval / then offset path, set with line size / expand circle and Then Pathfinder/cut it ^^
